Favorite place to play

The kittens love to play in the bathtub and around the sink. Last week they learned how to jump onto the counter (Basil is much better at it and was quicker to learn. Mowzle still misses sometimes). From there they discovered they could easily climb into the tub where they go mad wrestling with one another, chasing their own tails and knocking the drain plug about - making quite a ruckus. The newest trick is to walk around the edge of the tub without falling (they fall often, it's slippery, narrow and rounded and their feet are often wet while doing this). Last week they began doing this while we were showering which means when they fall off, they're in the shower with us, but behind the curtain so generally only feet get wet but then we have to lift them out which makes them wetter. In the last couple days they've stepped this up a degree by walking the edge while one of us is in a bath full of water. Luckily there haven't been any falls yet but there have been near misses - they even turn around on the edge which is very tricky. This morning Mowzle decided to jump in the shower while it was running - he got a bit wet but wasn't really deterred by this and came back for more. This leads me to believe that they aren't that bothered by water so why is it when we've had to give them baths they freak out?
