Saturday the 26th was a lot of firsts for Maia. First giggle while talking with Todd. First long (2 hr) car ride which she handled well until the last 10 minutes. First overnight trip. First time in 100+ degree weather (didn't handle that well).
Sunday the 27th was her first wedding (quiet for the ceremony luckily but screamed for most of the reception).
Tuesday and today she has suddenly been talking A LOT more. Making 'guh' sounds and giggling a few more times. She's clearly (we think) imitating us when we make noises and stick our tongues out at her. And today she rolled onto her side by herself a few times while on her play mat. This week she's also been playing with Freddie the Firefly. He's helped her get through the horribleness of my shower the past few mornings. Yesterday she even managed to skip the extreme fussiness that she usually experiences in the afternoon/evening. She's clearly making up for that today though.
