Pumpkin Patch Today

Today we visited the Tunitas Family Farm to pick out our pumpkins. Unlike the trip last year when it was gloriously sunny this year we were enjoying our first big rain storm of the season. This was VERY disappointing as we were looking forward to a sunny photo shoot with the girls in the pumpkin patch. Maia handled the rain very well with no complaints but all of the photos we took of her show her looking very sad. There also seemed to be a lot of Siri frowning. We may try to take Maia to a nearby pumpkin lot later in the week when it's sunny so we can get some good photos of her amongst the pumpkins.

Todd would like to point out that we were the only people there. Jeff and Diana say it's because we're from Oregon (most of us) and are used to rain. We say it's because we're unwilling to change our plans due to inclement weather. And we MUST go to the actual pumpkin patch where the pumpkins grow - no trucked in pumpkins for us! Jeff also says this is how the weather is supposed to be when you go pumpkin picking. Yeah, if you live in Oregon. There's a reason why we don't live in Oregon.
