The kittens were pretty excited about the tree and all the furniture being moved around - especially the scratching post in the middle of the room. As expected, Basil did taste the tree a bit and promptly threw up the pine needles he ate. Surprisingly he seems to have learned his lesson - although they do both nibble on it to some extent. There has been no consumption of ornaments and no one has tried to climb it! As a precaution it's attached to the walls on two sides and I left all of the glass ornaments off which makes me sad because those are my favorites but I'd be sadder if they got broken. That's Mowzle in the photos with Basil making a brief appearance to chew on the sisal rope on the post.

seems somebody is pregnant at christmas in this family nowadays, nice to have toddlers under the tree, and cats too, eh?
