Maia has gotten pretty good at singing the ABC song - she especially likes the ending, not that she often gets it right: "next time won't you sing with me". She always gets the tune though. One day I recited the alphabet and stopped at P and she then recited q r s t u v. Hasn't done it fully since though.
She's really good at counting now but she always skips 5. 1-9 minus 5. Sometimes she gets up to 12 thanks to us singing the lady bug picnic song and the Sesame Street pinball thing that goes up to 12. She also likes singing the end of the lady bug song, something to the effect of "lady came...picnic".
She's been pretty interested and empathetic about Todd's thumb vs mandolin owie. Today she asked him if his owie was better.
We've started encouraging her to say "please" and "thank you" and she sometimes says it without prompting now after only about a week of practice. It's pretty darn cute the way she says "thank you, Mommy".
She's suddenly been apologizing, in her own way, when she hits us. She'll offer a kiss or cuddle without prompting.
