Dia de los Muertos

Flaming altar

San Francisco kids are too cool for school

We think this one was actually getting married

One of the altars at Garfield park...this one is a tree...?

Altar to the late Steve Jobs

profile shot of a dude with glasses and face paint...we don't know him, just liked the picture

Not too surprising, a blurry Maia in front of one of the more chaotic altars

Flower girls

They stood still long enough to get a good picture, so they get on to the blog

Dancing skeletons with jellyfish...obviously

More jellyfish

kid

Nope, do't know her either, but she didn't move so we got a solid shot.
Tonight we took Maia to the Dia de los Muertos procession and to see the altars at Garfield Park. We'd never made it to the altars before so that was fun. Maia did not enjoy the evening. For some reason she was tired and grumpy when we got there at 6:30 so we watched a bit of the procession and decided to be responsible parents and take her home to bed at 8:00.
