Maia had her first fever last night, 100.7, and she was pretty miserable trying to sleep. We all were. This is week 2 of a cold that last week only consisted of a runny nose and didn't slow her down at all. She seemed to be much better despite the continuously running nose but I guess she isn't. She's really tired and actually a bit slower than usual the past 2 days.
The past week or so Maia has been dancing on command, either when we're helping her stand or when she's holding onto something. She's also been standing up without holding onto anything for support/help to get up and then she does some knee bends.
In the last few days Maia has found her socks and shoes on the floor a few times and tried to put them on her feet. She just tried to put her pants on too.
Today she put Honker on her potty - probably because we've been doing that to encourage her to sit on her potty. She's been more willing to sit on it the past week so maybe we'll actually get her to start using it sooner rather than later.
In the past couple of weeks Maia has started looking at books on her own. She's really been enjoying the very hungry caterpillar.
She's finally figured out how to use her kazoo.
I've put soft blocks on Maia's head a few times so now she does it herself but often just chucks them over her head. She also tries to balance other things on her head. Pretty cute.
And the cat harassment continues but I think she is (usually) more gentle now. Mowzle is either getting more accepting of her attentions or he's just unwilling to relocate when she bugs him. He's sleeping on a pillow on the floor right now and she was playing with his tail and leaning into his face and he didn't budge and now she's just sitting next to him playing with a toy. So maybe they're both getting better. Basil however is another story. He doesn't usually stick around long when she starts bugging him. He was unwilling to leave his amazingly cozy spot on the luvseat today and growled at her when she continued to harass him.
