Maia's been much more interested in reading her books lately - although they are usually upside down when she does it. She even "reads" to us. She turns pages and talks so that's what we assume she's doing. I thought the series of her pulling her sock off was pretty cute. Usually she tries to put her shoes and socks on.
Yesterday Maia was talking and laughing to a picture of a baby. Very cute.
The other day I sort of got her to mimic Bob Loblaw. And she said "hi" to Basil and waved at him.
Our Music Together CD has a song about trotting to grandma's house and at the end there are some clicking of a tongue on the roof of the mouth noises and she copied them for the first time on Wednesday.
On Tuesday Maia was cruising along the couch with one hand and she lifted her hand and took a couple steps on her own but I'm not sure she realized what she had done. But yesterday she was really doing it! She was reaching for my hand and I stayed just out of reach and rather than crawling to me as usual, she took 2-3 steps to get to me! And it gets better! Later, we went to the main library for Baby Rhyme Time and she just kept walking! Never more than maybe 4-5 steps at a time but she just kept doing it! And the best one she even did once Todd was there. Today she hasn't really done any walking on her own yet.
Maia really likes to walk with help so she's always coming to me and reaching for my hands to help it. Very cute!
